ARTIST STATEMENT
Capturing gestures and body language that communicate more than the spoken word. Candid and often intimate. Raw. The familiarity of it. The colors, patterns and palette you might find in an old polaroid. Vintage. Striving for simplification that borders the abstract. It’s the space and movement between the figures that excites me. The quiet conversations between the obvious loud ones. I paint to create a connection with those that appreciate the absurd and smile when they see their own stories in my paintings.

ART WITH A PURPOSE
My wife and I started a foundation, Skinnypigs to support organizations we believe in where the leaders are still in the trenches getting the job done. All of the proceeds from artwork that we sell minus any gallery and shipping fees goes to our foundation and the causes we support.
